About Olsen Wings
Olsen Wings is a Danish composite specialist founded in 2008. Our work is rooted in Denmark’s strong wind industry tradition, and we design and manufacture high‑quality composite solutions built to last.
We focus on four core areas:
Wind turbine blades (10–300 kW range)
Design and production of durable, high‑performance blades for smaller turbine platforms.
LEP – Leading Edge Protection
Soft‑shell LEP solutions developed with major OEMs. Tested to DNV‑GL‑RP‑0171 with no visible wear after 50 hours – five times the required standard.
RET – Rain erosion test specimens
High‑quality test panels used by universities, coating manufacturers and blade factories worldwide. Compatible with R&D Test Systems rain‑erosion equipment and developed to meet agreed DNV‑GL performance standards.
LAB – Composite R&D services
A flexible development environment working across materials, processes and advanced blade technologies. Our experience includes thermoplastics, PU infusion, radar and sonar composites, de‑icing systems, lightning protection, active aerodynamic surfaces, noise reduction, blade extensions, lightweight structures and more.
Our Approach
Across all activities, Olsen Wings manages the full process: From design and tooling to manufacturing and testing supported by close collaboration with specialist engineering partners.
Our philosophy is simple: combine creativity, precision and modern production methods to deliver composite solutions that perform reliably in the real world.
Our company name, ‘Olsen’, originated from the founder of the company, which has stayed with our people- and family-minded business ever since.
